ConferWeb offers flexible screen sharing options to help you present effectively. You can share your entire screen, a specific application window, or just a browser tab.
Starting Screen Share
Click the Screen Share Button
In the meeting toolbar, click the "Share Screen" button (monitor icon). This will open the sharing options dialog.
Choose What to Share
Select from three sharing options:
- Entire Screen: Share everything visible on your display
- Application Window: Share a specific app (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Browser Tab: Share a single browser tab with audio
Grant Permission
Your browser will ask for permission to share your screen. Click "Allow" or "Share" to proceed.
Start Presenting
Your screen is now visible to all participants. A red border or indicator will show what's being shared.
Sharing Options Explained
Entire Screen
Best for demos that involve multiple applications. Participants see everything on your screen, so be mindful of notifications and private information.
Application Window
Ideal for focused presentations. Only the selected application is visible, keeping other apps and notifications private.
Browser Tab
Perfect for sharing web content or videos. Includes audio from the tab, great for playing videos or demos.
Stopping Screen Share
End Your Screen Share
Click the "Stop Sharing" button in the meeting toolbar or the browser's sharing indicator to end the screen share and return to normal video.
Pro Tips
- Close unnecessary applications before sharing your entire screen
- Turn on "Do Not Disturb" to prevent notification pop-ups
- Use application window sharing for maximum privacy
- Test your screen share before important presentations
Browser Compatibility
Screen sharing works best on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Safari has limited screen sharing support. For the best experience, we recommend using Google Chrome.
